Lauder Hotel is conveniently right on the rail trail, just follow the path into the pub!

Lauder is situated approximately a 1/2 hour drive from Alexandra and 36 km along the rail trail from Alexandra. 
This makes it a good day cycling trip from Alexandra.

From Lauder it is 10.5km to the Auripo Station site and on the other side it is 7km to Omakau.

Lauder is an ideal starting point for a one-day cycle or walk through the Poolburn Gorge. This can easily be a there and back experience.
